NSFW Reddit!Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - A 23-year-old petite blonde has been named 2007's Playmate of the Year. Sara Jean Underwood, an Oregon native, is set to make her debut as the latest Playboy starlet at a pre-Derby party on May 4.
Underwood first received recognition from the Playboy mogul, Hugh Hefner, and his photographers when she was spotted at her college campus trying out for "Girls of the Pac 10," a feature that was included in the October 2005 issue. She also graced the cover of the same issue before becoming Miss July the following year.
Of her recent title, she told the Associated Press, "I thought I was going to puke. I thought I was going to faint. I thought I was going to cry. It was every emotion you can imagine one would feel when given such an honor."
Hefner said he chose Underwood to take on this year's title because she is "an all-American beauty" and "it has to do with personality."
As Playmate of the Year, Underwood has received $100,000 and a 2007 Mini Cooper vehicle, as noted in a press release. She has also shed her clothes in an eight-page spread of Playboy's June issue, currently out on newsstands.
